Within the Agenda 3 proposal, the SRU will be replacing the Participation Agreement payments with the Club Sustainability Award and Minimum Operating Standard payments.
The Club Sustainability Award aims to encourage Clubs to grow in a sustainable way and over 3 year planning cycles.
Criteria for Club Sustainability will be based on:
- Minimum coaching standards
- No. of male teams
- No. of women & Girls teams
- Youth development
- Match Officials
- Strategic Direction
There are three levels of Award, based on the above criteria, each level offering a differing level of Award payment:
Gold - £10k
Silver - £5k
Bronze - £3.5k
For Clubs not eligible for a Sustainability Award payment, they may qualify for a transitional Minimum Operating Standards payment:
Year 1 - £1.5k
Year 2 - £1.25k
Year 3 - £1k

- Governance
- Data provision
- Insurance & Legal
- Competition regulations
- Scottish Rugby Branding Guidelines
