It's semi-finals weekend in the National Shield & Bowl competitions, so there's not too many games in the West Leagues, but the ones we do have are crucial to the promotion and relegation battles in each of the leagues.
In the Shield, Gordonains take on Murrayfield Wanderers and Carrick play Hawick Harlequins. In the Bowl, Strathendrick visit Blairgowrie and Moray welcome Portobello.

West Region Fixtures - 4th March 2017
We're only just welcoming March, but already many of us have said goodbye to the competitive rugby season, with only a few friendly matches remaining to get the boots ready for or the alternative of watching others play the game, either live or on telly.
The big games this weekend in West Region are the Shield semi-final between Oban and Carrick, and the Bowl final between Loch Lomond and Strathendrick. Both are 3pm kick-offs, and would be worthy ways of spending the afternoon if you're at a loose end (weather permitting of course).
The weather's already had an impact on the remaining league games with the Annan v Irvine game being off in West 1, which only leaves Newton Stewart v East Kilbride.
Newton Stewarts victory against Oban in mid-February secured them the league title, so the result from todays game has no impact on things, but Newton Stewart will look to celebrate lifting the title in style.
Whilst the top end of West 1 is all sorted, the battle for ninth spot (and possible second relegation slot) is still relevant and to be decided, though the recent win for Dalziel against Orkney in National 3 means they move a little closer to safety in that relegation battle. The big game in the West "possible" relegation fight is however next week, when Kilmarnock visit Oban in their 9th v 8th contest.
The only game in West 2 sees Cumbernauld visit Cumnock, where really the only thing on the table is Cumnock chance to overtake Waysiders to claim 7th place - a win is needed for this. This is the last game of the season in West 2.
With the Bowl final taking place, there's only one game in West 3 where we have Uddingston visiting Bishopton. Following Arrans withdrawal from the league and their results being expunged, a win for Uddingston puts them top of the table, though they will have played two games more than Strathendrick.
There are two games scheduled for West 4, though (due to the number of unfulfilled fixtures in this league) we'll celebrate even if we get the two of them played. Glasgow Uni Medics welcome Hyndland, whilst Lanark make the trip to Cowal. Two home wins and the Medics could overtake Lanark at the top of the table
Looking at the SRU results page, the last game the Medics played was 29th October, so we'll ask the same question we posed a few weeks ago - is this sustainable?
And whilst West 2 closes today, West 4 is scheduled (assuming no further call-offs) to run until 8th April.

West 4 Update - 17 February 2017
We only had one game in West 4 at the weekend, with Cowal winning the "derby" against Argyll & Bute 53-13. This doesn't affect the top of the table which sees Lanark still on top on 37 points, Mull in second on 34 points, and Glasgow Uni Medics on 33.
West 3 Update - 17 February 2017
Last weekends only scheduled West 3 game should have seen Strathaven traveling to Arran, but this was off as Arran were unable to field a team. Arran have struggled with numbers several times this season and as a result have a number of unfulfilled games to their name, so it's perhaps no surprise that they've announced they're withdrawing from the league.
West 2 Update - 17 February 2017
Whilst the main positions are already confirmed, there's still a few games to be played before the conclusion of the West 2 season.
