West 2 Results - 10th December 2016

Wins for both Cambuslang and Stewartry at the top of West 2, with Cambuslang victors at Cumnock 21-15, and Stewartry winning 22-12 at home against Millbrae. This is a two horse race with Cambuslang 7 points ahead, though Stewartry do have a game in hand.

Both will be looking for wins this weekend when Cambuslang travel to Cumbernauld and Stewartry host Paisley - bonus points could be crucial come the end of the season, so expect a few tries.

At the foot of the table, Waysiders won the 8th v 9th game against Cumbernauld 49-26, whilst Lenzie beat third place Clydebank 26-17. These results give both Lenzie and WD a fair bit of breathing space to Cumbernauld in 9th, which should mean they’re both clear of any issues should a 2nd relegation place become necessary as a result of things in National 3.

Last weekends results now mean that there’s a single point separating 5th to 8th, and this weekend we have Millbrae hosting Cumnock and Lenzie hosting WD (the four teams in the 5th to 8th places).

These two games are difficult to call and could both be very tight, we’ll go with home advantage being the difference in both fixtures.
