In the top of the table clash in West 4, Lanark scored a narrow 21-18 victory over Mull. The result puts Lanark three points ahead of Mull, whilst Glasgow Uni Medics are in third spot, four behind Lanark. The Uni boys however now have two games in hand on Lanark, so are our favourites for the title.
The other games in the league were even tighter than the Lanark v Mull game. Clydesdale and Shawlands shared a 24 each draw and Hyndland won 28-26 at home against Argyll & Bute.
With Clubs having withdrawn and numerous unfulfilled games, it's become a funny old league. Mull have played 11 games, so only have three remaining, but they're not scheduled to finish their league campaign until 11th March. Meanwhile Clydesdale have played 5 games and the Uni boys have played 7, meaning their backlog and the other outstanding fixtures, the leagues not currently scheduled to finish until 15th April.
This weekends Clydesdale v Lanark game is already off, so leaving only Shawlands v Glasgow Uni Medics - a bonus point win for the Medics will put them top of the league.
