August 4th Update from Murrayfield on SCRUMS - Scottish Rugby Managment System

Update from Murrayfield today (August 4th) on the progress of SCRUMS.

"As advised in previous Club & School Communications, Scottish Rugby is introducing a new data management system to enhance communications and facilitate player registration, SCRUMS.

We are most grateful to the club volunteers who have formed part of the testing and user-groups for SCRUMS, a process that is vital in creating a platform that works best for schools and clubs.

Their feedback has already led to functionality improvements and further tweaks to SCRUMS are currently underway to ensure that when the system is launched, it delivers the best possible service for you our stakeholders.

Our original aim was for SCRUMS to go live this month. Comments from the user-groups and from clubs, who wish to ensure more of their members can partake in training for the new system, mean that we are reappraising the go-live date. We thank you for your patience and support in that regard.

We also wish to give you more notice for training dates and to select venues that offer a bigger capacity to assist a larger attendance.

As soon as our timelines are finalised we will share this information with you and we would anticipate that our next communication will be later this month (August).

In the meantime, please continue to use the existing CDMS system.

If you have any queries, please email scrums@sru.org.uk."
