RugbyRight 2017/18

The 2017/18 RugbyRight online course (powered by Hive Learning) aims to improve standards of player welfare throughout all levels of the game in Scotland.


The course is targeted at all coaches and match officials, and includes content on the following topics:
  • Child protection (accredited by NSPCC Scotland)
  • Injury prevention and management (including revised concussion guidance)
  • Nutrition and anti-doping
  • World Rugby law amendments trials
  • Warm-up routine (shown to reduce injuries by up to 72%)
  • PVG Disclosure Scotland checks
  • Minimum coach and referee standards
The course must be completed by all coaches and match officials by Tuesday 31 October 2017 to be compliant.

Please note:
RugbyRight compliance is a condition within the Scottish Rugby Club Participation agreement, where £500 may be paid to a club (in May 2018) if they have a minimum of 80% of its coaches having completed this course in accordance with the Minimum Operating Standards.
