The structure of the Womens season is in a transition stage before moving to the new season format which was announced by Murrayfield earlier this month.
The new season structure will be split into three distinct sections: cup, sevens and league.
Cup competitions will be played through March and April, with sevens running in May and June. League fixtures will kick-off in August and run until the beginning of December.
Therefore, to transition to the new format, this coming league campaign will operate from August to November only, before taking a break and the new structure kicking in from March 2019.
