West 2 Update - 13 January 2017

Both Cambuslang and Stewartry kept up the dogfight at the top of West 2, with bonus point wins in high scoring matches - Cambuslang winning 52-24 at home against Lenzie, whilst Stewartry won 36-24 away at Clydebank.

Cambuslang are slight favourites for promotion with 61 points in the bag to Stewartrys 54.  If the games are on this weekend, Stewartry will play their game in hand when Waysiders visit.  Stewartry will be looking to close the gap on Cambuslang to 2 points prior to their trip to Cambuslang on the 21st for what could be a winner take all top of the table encounter.

In the leagues only other game to be played, Paisley won 25 -24 at home to Millbrae.

Cumbernauld were unable to raise a team to travel to Cumnock, so the unfulfilled fixture chaos of West Region continues.  A call to arms from Cumbernauld suggests there may be more issues for them before the seasons out.  They have a derby game at Lenzie this weekend, but the weather may be the issue this time around.

The remaining games this weekend are for the mid table positions with Paisley welcoming Cumnock and Clydebank traveling to Millbrae.
