We're getting into the final phase of matches of the Regional league campaign and there's a few crackers being served up in West Region this weekend.
In West 1, we're looking at wins for each of the three title contenders, with big wins possible for both Newton Stewart and Carrick.
At the foot of the table, it's going to be tough for both Kilmarnock and Helensburgh. Oban welcome Annan, and we're expecting a win for Annan, but it's always difficult after a long bus journey. Irvine travel to Garnock in what should be a closely contested game. Any points gained by any of the relegation battlers will be extremely valuable.
In West 2, we're expecting both Cambuslang and Stewartry to continue their impressive results; Lenzie however have won their last three games, so Cambuslang will need to keep their wits about them.
With the title contenders facing each other in West 3, we probably have the game of the day. Having conceded only 46 points this season, Endrick currently lead Uddie by 1 point, so traveling to their nearest rivals is an opportunity for them to build a bit of a gap. Whatever the result, we're expecting some fireworks - between them, they have scored 1,072 this season - so we can expect plenty of attacking rugby.
It's going to be tight, but we're plumping for home advantage being crucial, so a tight win in a high scoring match for Uddingston.
If a top of the table clash didn't bring enough excitement, we also have a bottom of the table contest with Arran welcoming their nearest rivals, Police Scotland. We'll go a home win in this one.
Depending on the result in Arran, either Bishopton or Wigtownshire could find themselves occupying the foot of the table from 5pm on Saturday. Wigtownshire welcome Moffat, whilst Bishopton have a bigger ask away at Loch Lomond.
If the crackers we have in West 3 aren't enough to get you excited, then we have another belter in West 4. Here we have league leaders Lanark, hosting 2nd place Mull. There are currently three teams at the top of West 4 on 33 points, so loads to play for. Glasgow Uni Medics are probably slight favourites as they have games in hand. Mull have played the most games of the contenders, so this game is a must win for them, but we're looking at a win for Lanark.
There should be plenty of excitement on the pitch this Saturday, so if you're not playing, make sure you get yourself along and cheer on those who are.
