The Rugby World Cup 7s kicks off in San Francisco at 9pm Friday.
For the mens tournie, this is a 24 team competition, which unlike the HSBC series events, has no group stage, it's a straight knock-out competition, but with a Bowl and Challenge Trophy stream in addition to the main title.
Scotland are seeded 8, so join the competition at round 2, playing the winners of Kenya v Tonga.
ITV has the UK TV rights to the tournie, but are only showing highlights of each days games. Live coverage from World Rugby on YouTube.
Kenya won their match against Tonga, 19 points to 7, setting up the Round of 16 match against Scotland.
Scotland managed to win the game against Kenya, having been 26 nil, scoring five second half tries in five minute to reach the final whistle at 31-26.
This sets up a Championship Quarter-final against South Africa who had a comfortable 45-7 victory against Ireland.
The Quarter-final was a pretty one sided afair with the Springboks dominating possession and territory right from the off. With six minutes to go, it was 26 nil, and thoughts of another stunning started to bubble up, but this was soon quashed as South Africa scored another couple of tries. A consolation score in the final play ensured Scotland got themselves on the scoreboard.
With two games remaining, fifth place is still a possibility, with the first game to coming against USA. They lost 19-24 to England, so it's probably going to be another tough one. After that match it will be Argentina or France to decide the finishing positions.
Another tough game for Scotland in their 5th place play-off match against USA. USA dominated possession and territory, and were in not for several great try saving tackles the score-line would have been a bit more embarrassing. Final game will now be to decide who finishes 7th, and will be against France who lost out to Argentina.
Keep track of all the results on the Rugby World Cup 7s website.
The Womens tournament is also taking place, but with 16 countries represented, Scotland aren't amongst them.
