With this weeks Predictor Challenge suggesting a few games as almost dead certs, the real beauty of sport comes along and gives you a kick up the backside.
We had 46 entries submitted this week with as good as 96% of us predicting that Glens would beat Cambuslang and Greenock would beat Kilmarnock. Glens duly delivered, but then Kilmarnock reminded us to never say there is a sure thing in sport as they held Greenock Wanderers to a draw, and in the process opened up the race for the West 1 Championship.
In addition to this upset, we also had a number of games go down to the wire with only a few points in it, so the results to this weeks Challenge could easily have been so different.
After a couple of not so great weeks, WeegieRugby tops this weeks Predictor Challenge with an 88% success rate (15 from 17), missing out on the Kilmarnock v Greenock game and Bishoptons win in their derby against Paisley - we should have stuck with home advantage on that one.
It was a pretty close result though, with nine entries claiming 14 from 17 (82%), and another four with 13 from 17. The average success rate across this weeks 46 entries was 66%.
In the overall results, we have new leaders as Neil Fox, Keith Bradley and Jesǔs have a success rate of 80%. Our own success rate across is a more paltry 67% over the opening weeks.
In total we've had 74 entrants submitting 1,950 predictions between them, with an average success rate of 64%.
