West 2: Lenzie v Oban Lorne

Oban travelled with a much changed squad to face Lenzie in the battle of the remaining unbeaten teams.
Oban a very young squad (whole back 3 were u18’s) hoping to compete in what they knew would be a very tough game.
Lenzie dominated early on and spotted the inexperienced back 3 and attack wide early! 3 early tries were the reward as they raced into a 17-0 lead. Oban managed to regroup and scored a fine try just before half-time 17-7.
Lenzie scored another try just after just after the break and secured the bonus point.
Oban responded well and upped the tempo and started to claw there way back into the game - 3 fine tries followed and the Oban resurgence was almost completed with a penalty kick to corner in last minute but a squint throw prevented them from building the pressure which could have secured the victory!
Full time - 27 - 24.
