Predictor Challenge - 30th March 2019

Thirty nine entrants this week submitted 262 entries across the weekends restricted fixture list.

Predicted win %
Draw Count
East Kilbride 97.4% v 0.0% Strathendrick 2.6% 39
Garnock 87.2% v 12.8% Dalziel 0.0% 39
Irvine 94.9% v 5.1% Cumnock 0.0% 39
Bishopton 66.7% v 30.6% Wigtownshire 2.8% 36
Helensburgh 83.3% v 16.7% Cumbernauld 0.0% 36
Uddingston 70.3% v 29.7% Paisley 0.0% 37
Birkmyre 77.8% v 22.2% Lochaber 0.0% 36

The success average is pretty good again at 77%, well above the seasons average of 68%.

Despite the high success rate, there's one result that 70.3% of us got wrong - Paisleys win at Uddingston, whilst Wigtownshire came close to foiling 66.7% of us when they made the trip to Bishopton and only lost by 3 points.

This week we have six entrants scoring 100%, four with 7 from 7 and two with 3 from 3 with their West 1 predictions.

Across March, we've had 77 entrants submitting 1,592 entries with a success rate of 62%.

For the months winners we've again gone for a minimum of two weeks worth of entries, which sees Grwyrafnc scoring 93.8% with 15 out of 16, closely followed by John Carson who scored 93.3% (14 out of 15).

Several of our top 10 Leaderboard also have their names amongst the front-runners of the March challenge, each scoring 80%+.

Fatman stays top of the Leaderboard with an 81.8% success rate.

There is however little separating the leaders, where one result can make a big difference, perhaps most appropriately shown with John Carson re-entering the top 10, replacing Mark Ellison who "only" scored 5 from 7 this week.

We're getting into the closing stages of the Predictor Challenge, and looking at this weeks fixtures, we're guessing there maybe a bit of movement across the Leaderboard as there are several games which could go either way.

The top 3 in West 1 are all playing this weekend, with EK v Garnock looking the choice of the games.  In West 2, Paisley, who are on a bit of a run, are looking to bring Lenzies unbeaten league record to an end, whilst in West 3, the contest between Mull and Cowal also looks a pretty tight one to call.
