Predictor Challenge Update - 23rd February 2019

The results at the top of each of the leagues all went with the Predictor Odds, but we had a couple of West 2 games that went against our Predictor entrants choices.

Bishopton 65.0% v 35.0% Helensburgh 0.0% 40
Cumbernauld 29.3% v 70.7% Uddingston 0.0% 41
Loch Lomond p v p Wigtownshire

Paisley 74.4% v 25.6% Clydebank 0.0% 39
Strathaven 17.5% v 80.0% Lenzie 2.5% 40
Birkmyre 67.5% v 27.5% Hyndland 5.0% 40
Cowal 82.1% v 17.9% Shawlands 0.0% 39
Isle of Mull 22.5% v 77.5% Glasgow Uni Medics 0.0% 40

Allan Glens won the big game against Garnock at the top of West 1, with Greenock also keeping up pressure on league leaders EK, whilst in West 2 Lenzie won the title, and in West 3 Glasgow Uni Medics moved ahead of WD as they had the weekend off.

But the big surprise of the weekend saw Uddingston going down to Cumbernauld.  Over 70% of our entrants thought promotion contenders Uddy would pick up the win against relegation battlers Cumbie - and that wasn't the only surprise in West 2.

If we look at the league table though, it's perhaps a bit harsh to call it a surprise as Helensburgh are ahead on points, but 65% of our entrants did go for Bishopton.

Despite the two surprise results, the overall average is decent again at 70% across the 43 entrants.  This does include a couple of 100%s, though Emma did only submit one entry (Cumbernauld, so guessing we know which team Emma follows), whilst John Carson got all his West 1 predictions correct.

There were six entrants who scored 9 from 10, including two of our Top 10 Leaderboard, which helps move them up a couple of positions.

Fatman is our new leader on the Top 10 Leaderboard, whose 8 from 10 this week means he meets the minimum Leaderboard entry requirement of 50 predictions.

Gordon Milne drops to second place, but has improved his overall average, whilst Keith Bradley moves up two places to third having scored a 9 out of 10 this week.

From March, the minimum number of entries for a place on the Top 10 Leaderboard increases to 65.
