West Region Predictor Challenge - 31st August 2019

Week 1 of the Predictor Challenge, and already the weather is having an impact.

The odds suggested the majority of the games would be pretty one sided, though our entrants were split down the middle on the Annan v Kilmarnock game

At the end of the day, the results went pretty much as expected.  Kilmarnock won the one we were split on, 36-19 away at Annan, but we did have a surprise result at Whiteshawgate.

Our entrants had Strathaven strongly down for a home win (an 80:20 split), but it sounds as though it went down to the last kick of the game, with Clydebank winning it 22:20.

We had 111 entrants to this weeks Predictor, submitting 1,311 entries.  The average success rate across all entrants was 71%.

At the top of the leadership board after week one, we have 11 entrants who scored and impressive 11 from 12 games (92% success rate).

We've uploaded the full results list on Google Sheets here.

This weekend we have prelim round in both Shield and Bowl as well as leagues matches to keep an eye - and there are some cracking matches to consider.

The odds from last week based on entrants submissions showed strong favourites across most of the game, but with this weekends games we're guessing the odds will be much closer.

Garnock v Glens is probably the pick of the games, but there's plenty others to whet the appetite - Annan v Stewartry,  Dalziel v Helensburgh, Oban v Paisley, WD v Uddingston, Cumbernauld v Uni Medics and Mull v Cowal should all be very tight affairs.

Here's how we think this weekends game will go:
