West League Update (West 3) - 6th November 2018

A limited fixture card in West 3 on Saturday, made shorter by the stormy weather which created travel issues for the Mull v Cowal game.

A 39-13 win for Uni Medics against Birkmyre solidifies their second place. Medics are now just four points behind WD, with them each having played 7 games. WD have a points difference of 276, Uni Medics 266. They have yet to face one another, with the first contest not scheduled until 2nd March and the return fixture on 23rd March.  They're well clear of the rest of the field, but the title race should be very interesting.

West League Update (West 2) - 6th November 2018

Lenzie sit top of West 2, with 9 wins from 9 and 8 bonus points, but since the start of October, their points scoring pace has been somewhat curtailed. This slowing down was in part due to games against fellow title challengers Uddy and Oban, but it also included a win against Cumbernauld that was tighter than we were expecting. This weekends visit to Helensburgh was an opportunity to demonstrate to their challengers that they're still the free-scoring team from earlier in the campaign.

West League Update (West 1) - 6th November 2018

At the start of October, Greenock Wanderers were unbeaten and joint top of West 1 with East Kilbride, Allan Glens were in fifth place 6 points behind.

In the following weeks, EK and Greenock swapped places almost every week, but this weekend they faced one another.  The entries to the Predictor Challenge showed the majority of us (nearly 73%) had Greenock down for the win.  Despite Greenock being big favourites, this game had the hallmarks of being a close fought contest.

Predictor Challenge Update - 3rd November 2018

Based on the Predictor Odds, there was only one real shock across the Tennents West Regional Leagues at the weekend, as a result we've seen an increase in the success %age from last weeks 69% to 72%.
