West Region Fixtures - 5th November 2016

The top 3 in West 1 will all be looking for wins this weekend, but with Newton Stewart and Carrick both away from home, they certainly shouldn't be banking on it.  East Kilbride have a home game against Oban, so we're expecting them to continue their unbeaten run.

At the foot of the table, we're not expecting either Helensburgh or Oban to come away with wins, but bonus points are crucial, so anything they can pick up will be vital in the relegation contest.

Irvine, who are currently 2nd bottom host Kilmarnock (4th bottom), so this is probably one of the picks of the day.  A bonus point win for Irvine could move them above Oban, whilst a win for Kilmarnock should mean no relegation worries for the rest of the season.  Probably more important for Irvine to win this one, so this would be one of the games where they'll want all their imports available.

Stewartry have a free weekend, so Cambulsang will be looking to cement their lead at the top of West 2, however, Clydebank haven't lost at home this season, so expect a tight one.

Paisley are looking to keep up their recent good form, and close the gap on Stewartry in the process.  However, the reverse of this fixture has been Cumbernaulds only league win of the season, so Paisley won't take anything for granted.

The remaining fixtures could be quite tight - we have Waysiders away at Cumnock and Lenzie hosting Millbrae.  WD have got themselves level on points with Cumnock with positive results in their last three outings, so are building a bit of momentum, so we'll go for an away win here. There's only 7 points between Millbrae and Lenzie, so this too should be close - Millbrae have the superior points difference, but they do look to be struggling on the road, so will go for a close home win in this one.

In West 3, Strathendrick are going for 10 out of 10 - they travel to Loch Lomond which won't be as comfortable as last week, but we're not going to bet against them.  2nd place Uddingston welcome Arran, who last week didn't travel to Stranraer, so we'll go another home win for Uddie.  3rd place Strathaven travel to 3rd bottom Bishopton, so we're expecting Strathaven to keep up the pressure on 2nd place.

At the foot of the table, bottonm place Police Scotland travel to Moffat.  They're both conceding loads of points, so it could be high scoring,  We'll go with home advantage being the crucial factor.  2nd bottom Wigtownshire welcome Birkmyre which could also be quite tight, again, we'll go with home advantage.

West 4 is already down a game this weekend, as we understand that Lanark have called off their trip to Cowal due to a "virus" going round the squad.  This leaves Mull traveling to Clydesdale and Aygyll & Bute traveling to Shawlands.  We're looking at a comfortable win for Mull, but a closer contest at Dumbreck - home advantage can play a big role in these types of games, so will go with Shawlands.
