Predictor Challenge Update - 12th January 2019

In last weeks Predictor Challenge, the big game was the top of the table clash in West 1 between Garnock and East Kilbride.

Our entrants had Garnock down as slight favourites, so that result went against our Odds, but that wasn't the only "upset".

In addition to the Garnock v EK game going against the Odds, we also had the draw between Millbrae and Clydebank (which none of us picked), Cowal v Birkmyre where our entrants had Cowal as strong favourites (nearly 76%), and Shawlands v Lochaber where 69% of Predictor entrants went for the home win.

With so many results going against the Odds, we had a feeling our percentages this week weren't going to be great, but our 51 entrants managed an average overall success rate of 70%, well up on last weeks 60% and the running average of 65%.

This weeks winner, with 13 from 15 (87%) was C.Weed (who also got a top 10 finish last week).

John Carson again scored 5 from 6 from his West 1 predictions, but if we split out the West 1 results across all our entrants we find several with a full 6 out 6:
Bruce Beggans
Willie Steele
Jamie Neil
Euan
Gordon Milne
Magoo
Scooba
Reddy
Jazhap

Following a disappointing set of results for last weeks overall leader, Keith Bradley drops to second, being replaced by Gordon Milne who jumps a couple of places (average 75.4%). Last weeks top 10 new entrant, Willie Steele also moves up a couple places, up to fifth (74.1%).  The big faller this week was John Fisher, dropping from second to ninth.

John Carson is a new entrant to the top 10, coming in at 8th with an average of 73.2%.

Our criteria for a place on the overall leaderboard requires a minimum of 30 predictions for games played.  The full leaderboard is available here.
