Predictor Challenge Update - 15th December 2018

We went from having a full fixture schedule at the weekend, down to five games that came to a conclusion (Garnock v Irvine did happen, but as it only lasted 58 minutes, the result didn't stand).

Loch Lomond winning away at Helensburgh was the Predictor Challenges biggest upset of the weekend, with nearly 65% opting for Helensburgh to come out on top in this one. 

However, the result that goes against most of us was the 0 - 0 draw between PSG and Lochaber.  There was an approximate 60/40 split in PSGs favour, so not much in it, but with only Animal calling the draw, the rest of us have to accept a 20% hit on our averages this week.

With so few games completed, the weekly stats don't mean that much in the big scheme of things, but well done to Ewan, Grwyrafnc and John Carson who each scored 100%.

With so many games called off, we only had 189 predictions across the games that took place this week.  The success rate was just under 61%.

The constituents of the Top 10 remain the same as last week, but we do have a little shuffling around of positions. 

Keith Bradley continues to lead the Challenge with a success rate of 77.9%.  GlensGirl joins Magoo in second-place with a success rate of 75.9%.

We have now had 194 entrants to the Challenge, submitting 7,035 Predictions.  The average success rate is 66%.  The Random Predictor has an average success rate of 55%.

With only three weekends of fixtures in December, and so many of those being off,  we only managed to accumulate 26 games worth of Predictions.  We've had 62 entrants across the month, showing an average success rate of 62.3%.  The average for the Random entries is 53.8%. 

We've set a minimum of at least two weeks worth of predictions, in the December competition with GlensGirl topping the table with a success rate of 81.2% (will be in contact to get details on where to send your WeegieRugby hat).  Happy to say that we came second with an average of 80.7%, a significant improvement on previous months.

We took delivery of the WeegieRugby hats this week, so will arrange to get them sent out to the previous monthly winners of the Predictor Challenge:
