Predictor Challenge Update - 19th January 2019

Most of the games went the way of the Predictor Odds this week (though we were out on the Stewartry v Annan game), so the success rate takes a nice jump.

West Region Results - 19 January 2019

At 73% we've recorded the highest success rate so far this season.  As we said the only big surprise was in the Stewartry v Annan game, where 63.5% of entrants picked Stewartry to win the 2nd leg of the Chisholm Cup.

There was a minor surprise in the Paisley v Helensburgh game, where a small majority of entrants had Helensburgh down for making it three wins from three - but it was Paisley who took the three from three honour with a 20 points to 10 win.

Six of our entrants scored 10 out of 11 (91%), including two from the Top 10 Leaderboard.  There were another 12 entrants scoring 9 out of 11 (82%).

Gordon Milne retains pole position on the Top 10 Leaderboard thanks to a 10 out of 11, whilst John Fisher (another of this weeks 10 out of 11 entrants) jumps from 9th to second.

A 9 out of 11 was enough for David McCrae to rejoin the Top 10 Leaderboard, whilst Special K joins the Leaderboard for the first time.

We had 52 entrants this week, who submitted 545 predictions across the games that were played.  There were 397 correct entries giving a success rate of 72.8%.

Across the Challenge overall, we have had 229 entrants submitting 9,045 entries, with 5,997 correct predictions - a success rate of 66.3%.

Our "Random" entry is currently sitting on an average of 56.2%.

Our criteria for a place on the Top 10 Leaderboard requires a minimum of 30 predictions for games played.  The full Challenge scoresheet is available here.
