Predictor Challenge Update - 17th November 2018

Despite us thinking that both Shield semi-final games looked like close contests, the Predictor Odds showed some strong feelings - but things didn't go as planned for the majority of us, so we were expecting a drop in this weeks success rate.

However once we'd chucked all the results into the spreadsheet, we were surprised to see an increase in the success percentage rate, as well as unearthing our first 100% correct entrant of the season.

Predicted win %
Draw Count
Allan Glens 78.3% v 21.7% Greenock Wanderers 0.0% 46
Dalziel 17.4% v 82.6% Kilmarnock 0.0% 46
Cambuslang 6.5% v 93.5% East Kilbride 0.0% 46
Stewartry 76.1% v 23.9% Strathendrick 0.0% 46
Cumbernauld 20.0% v 80.0% Oban Lorne 0.0% 45
Lenzie 97.7% v 2.3% Loch Lomond 0.0% 44
Lochaber 86.4% v 13.6% Moffat 0.0% 44
PSG 11.4% v 86.4% Glasgow Uni Medics 2.3% 44
Shawlands 79.5% v 18.2% Isle of Mull 2.3% 44

So first up, it's congratulations to Dalziel and Greenock Wanderers for making it to the West Regional Final.  Finals Day is 8th December at Scotstoun Stadium, with Glasgow Uni Medics and Birkmyre contesting the Bowl Final at 12 noon, followed by the Shield Final at 2pm.

The second round of applause goes to Ped, who is our first entrant to score 100% in a round of fixtures.  Ped was also the only entrant to pick both the Shield semi-final winners.

There's a fair range of results across our regular entrants this week which sees a number of changes in the top 10 Leaderboard as a result.

Following up an 86% result last week, Brett again scores well this week with 88.9%, but it's not enough to get a slot on the overall leaderboard.

Strong showings from top 10 regulars Keith Bradley and Magoo helps to close the gap on leader Alan Nugent, who scored 7 from 9.

This weeks overall success rate was 71% from the 405 predictions entered.

The average success rate since the start of the Challenge is 67% from 5,595 predictions.

A copy of the overall scoreboard is available here.

Note:
To be eligible for a position on the leaderboard then we must have received a minimum of two sets of predictions from an entrant.
