World Rugby 7s - Round 6 - Vancouver

A decent performance last week in Las Vegas led to the lifting of the Challenge Trophy, but we have an awkward group again this week in Vancouver.

Disappointing first game against England, where a late try probably flattered England, but in saying that, Scotland didn't really do very much so can't complain too much.

Game two was another disappointing affair, where we gave up too much territory and possession, and just didn't really look like we would come away with a result.  Ah well, Challenge Trophy again this week.

We finished off Day 1 well with a comfortable win against Japan, setting up a Challenge Trophy quarter final against Chile.

Winner and losers of this match will play the winners or losers of Canada v Spain, which no matter who we end up playing will be no easy task.  On Day 1, Spain got a result against New Zealand (their first ever victory over the All Blacks), whilst the biggest cheer of the day was reserved for Canadas win over Fiji.

A comfortable win against Chile set-up Challenge Trophy semi-final against hosts Canada.  Things started well in the semi, getting out to a 14 nil lead, which they maintain to half-time despite picking up a yellow card.  But it was Canada who scored all the points in the second half, stealing the victory with a late try.

Similar sort of weekend to Las Vegas, but falling just short in the semi-final this time round.  Five points will be added to the tally.
